JASHIE Powered by Nakanoshima Qross

sports, innovation, technology, health

The Japan–Australia Sports & Health Innovation Exchange (JASHIE) is proud to announce that its 2026 program is Powered by Nakanoshima Qross – The International Center for Future Medicine, a pioneering hub in Osaka dedicated to advancing the industrialisation of future medicine through cross-sector collaboration.

Nakanoshima Qross aims to create an ecosystem where industry and medicine can collaborate and cooperate to drive innovation and commercialisation. It brings together three essential functions:

  • Human resource development that nurtures entrepreneurship,

  • Startup incubation that supports global growth, and

  • Open innovation that connects companies and institutions across borders.

Supported by the Future Medicine Promotion Organisation, Nakanoshima Qross provides one-stop support for companies and startups — including assistance with legal compliance, funding, and market development. Its unique platform eliminates physical barriers between industry and academia, creating an environment where ideas can quickly move from research to real-world application.

Through its collaboration with JASHIE, Nakanoshima Qross will expand opportunities for co-creation in sports, health, and regenerative medicine, connecting innovators from Japan and Australia to address shared challenges and promote international collaboration.

“Our partnership with Nakanoshima Qross strengthens JASHIE’s mission to bring together health and sports innovators who are shaping the future of wellbeing,” said Cristina Merino, Founder & CEO of JA Network.
“Together, we will accelerate the translation of research and technology into tangible outcomes that benefit athletes, patients, and communities.”

JASHIE serves as a bridge between two leading innovation ecosystems — Japan and Australia — uniting startups, corporates, investors, universities, and government agencies to co-develop solutions for a healthier and more connected world.
